It was authentic in the sense of how uptight people were in Pittsburgh and of how everything was run on a shoestring. Fascinating journey behind the scenes of the rock concert industry from the man who lived it from the very beginning. Hard to put down, there was story after story of the hard work and even the gambles it takes to bring a concert to fruition. In an industry full of massive egos and eye watering money, Pat shines through the book as a regular guy who never lost his roots despite succeeding in an extraordinary business that has destroyed lesser men. Also, although the stories are largely about the Pittsburgh market, his company, DiCesare-Engler, is considered second only to the legendary Bill Graham's organization in San Fransisco which is a market on a different scale altogether.
